City of Albany - Workers United Local 471 joined nine other labor unions in endorsing Lenny Ricchiuti for President of the Albany Common Council.

"I am honored to receive the support of Workers United in my race for Common Council. I know first hand how crucial labor protections and progressive wage laws are, especially in these challenging times," said Ricchiuti. "I will fight to bring more jobs to Albany that pays a living wage so that working families can make ends meet. I look forward to working with all my labor supporters, including Local 471, when elected to office."

Local 471 represents over 3,000 hotel, food service, gaming, textile and laundry workers across the Capital Region - a large concentration of which live in the City of Albany.

"Local 471 is encouraging all our members in the City of Albany to support Lenny Ricchiuti for President of the Albany Common Council. We believe that Lenny has what it takes to move this community forward. We, as the union for hospitality and gaming workers, want to assist him," said Rev. Mike Roberts, Albany District Director of Workers United.

"Supporters who believe that we need to elected candidates who will fight for more jobs that pay a living wage, and bring change to the city of Albany are encouraged to vote for the best candidate for working families, Lenny Ricchiuti, in the Democratic primary," said Gary Bonadonna Jr, Political Director for the Rochester Regional Joint Board of Workers United.
